The lack of standardization of the authors of scientific publications and their work centers diminishes the visibility of the production and of their authorship and that of the institution(s) to which they belong in the main bibliographic databases, causing losses in the retrieval of information, such as the impact of publications, measured through citations. As bibliometric reliability is reduced, therefore, data analysis for scientific policy and institutional strategy purposes, based on productivity, scientific-technological impact or ranking, among others, becomes more complex.
The INiBICA Directorate has prepared a document that contains the guidelines aimed at promoting the use of a single signature by the authors and the correct institutional affiliation, in order to ensure the best indexing in the databases. data and facilitate the follow-up of the scientific production of the Institute.
