CO3: Respiratory Diseases and Allergies

Group made up of pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons and allergists whose objectives are the development of research in their respective areas and with a more specific focus on processes such as COPD, lung cancer, occupational respiratory diseases such as silicosis and allergic processes.

• Obstructive airway diseases (COPD and asthma): Optimization of exercise capacity and health-related quality of life.
• Telemedicine and Chronic Respiratory Disease: Controlled self-management of the disease and diagnosis of exacerbations through the integration of automated biological signals. Remote monitoring of patients with chronic respiratory diseases.
• Respiratory pathology during sleep: Simplified systems for diagnosis and control monitoring of nocturnal respiratory therapies.
• Desensitization to biologic drugs: design of action protocols. In vitro technique markers to assess effectiveness and efficiency.
• Hymenoptera venoms: Design of new administration guidelines. Design of activity markers and in vitro diagnosis.
• Techniques with oral immunotherapy for food: seafood.
• Interstitial and occupational lung diseases: Biomarkers of disease evolution. Cellular study and response to drugs.
