Animal Experimentation and Production Service

The Animal Experimentation and Production Service (SEPA) is located in the fourth floor of "Andrés Segovia" building.

Access to the facilities is controlled by electronic cards. Our facilities consist of four different areas:

Facilities with animals:
  • Production and quarantine area (cream)
  • Experimentation area (pink)
Facilities without animals:
  • Cleaning area, machinery and storage (green)
  • Administrative area, toilets and distribution (blue)

Access to facilities with animals is strictly restricted to people working in the Service and to those accredited to carry out their research work in our facilities.

In these facilities we breed and/or maintain the animals needed for the research groups working mainly in the biomedical area, and we also send the requested animals to other Animal Centres for research and other scientific purposes.
