In order to offer a more individualized and personalized service, each group or Clinical Management Unit (UGC) is assigned a project manager who will be in charge of channeling all the requests made to her by the group. If you are not familiar with your project manager, you can request the information at diana.regueiro@juntadeandalucia.es / lourdes.rodriguez@inibica.es. For projects in international calls, you can contact: itziar.penafiel@inibica.es.
The managers are located in the Research Unit of the Puerta del Mar University Hospital (9th floor), Cádiz; but they travel to all the centers that are within the scope of INiBICA within the province of Cádiz.
The project managers meet with the groups to get to know their ideas and to be able to identify how to obtain financing to carry out R&I projects. From this point on, we begin to work together on multiple aspects, offering the following support services from the Institute:
- Dissemination of calls and management of calls.
- Identification of calls to obtain financing.
- Comprehensive management of grants and subsidies, from the application to the justification stage.
- Definition, application and management of international projects.
1) Methodological and statistical advice
The currently outsourced service offers support to researchers so that they can develop more methodologically competitive projects, as well as to rigorously analyze research results and to offer specialized support to groups that require it. See more information at the following link.
2) Regional / national / international grants and subsidies
In order to expand the financial resources to which you can opt, a bulletin for the dissemination of calls is consulted through the Fundación Progreso y Salud (FPS), and it is sent in a personalized way. If any researcher wants to receive this weekly bulletin, they can sign up through their project manager or by sending an email to: difusion.convocatorias.fps@juntadeandalucia.es with their name, DNI, centre, UGC and email address.
3) Documentation and signature
After the notification of intention to present, the project manager will indicate all the documentation that must be sent and the deadlines to be met. Likewise, the project manager will remain at the disposal of the researchers to resolve any questions that may arise regarding the call, as well as the completion of the same telematic route.
4) Electronic presentations and registration of applications
From INiBICA we recommend registering on the telematic platforms as soon as the decision to apply is made. The telematic tools usually give problems of collapses or inability to access on dates close to the closing date. For this reason, it is recommended that the research staff review the tool and the fields to be filled in prior to uploading documents. If the registration or application requires any paper document, INiBICA will take care of sending it properly signed in a timely manner.
5) Corrections
The researcher will be notified of the request for rectification of the applications that are deemed necessary by the financing entities, as well as the steps to follow for their subsequent delivery on time.
6) Support Management
The project manager will notify the researcher of the resolution of the aid requested. In case of being beneficiaries of aid, it will indicate the budgets, items, execution deadlines and deadlines for the presentation of the corresponding justification reports. If during the execution of the project there is any modification, through your project manager any change in the budget (starting, annuity,...) or modification in the project will be made in order to request it from the financing entities with sufficient advance. The researcher must take into account that the request for items or modifications to them are not always accepted and that they require at least one month from their request. That is why the more advance notice you have in these aspects, the better project management can be carried out.
7) Economic management
The main researcher is responsible for placing the purchase orders and will have to send a purchase request with the budget, so that its manager can verify it and send it to the economic area for payment. The researcher must identify the name of the researcher in the requests, and comply with the instructions that must be taken into account, according to the requirements of the different funding entities.
8) Scientific and economic justification
According to the subsidy law, it is the responsibility of the main researcher to submit the scientific and economic justification in due time and form. INiBICA, through the project managers, will notify the researcher at least one month before the delivery dates of the documentation justifying the aid that must be delivered. The researcher must submit the scientific justification at least one week before the date in order to be validated and signed by the legal representative. INiBICA will be in charge of coordinating the audits required by the project (by the project, if it can be financed).
