The Program focuses particularly on disorders with unmet needs for innovation in research and development of diagnostic and therapeutic strategies of all kinds. Specifically, the Program is interested in neurodevelopmental disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, neurological diseases in general, and mental health disorders.

The Inflammation Program addresses the inflammatory processes that are at the crossroads that define human health and disease, directing the delicate balance of our immune system. The mission of the line is the multidisciplinary study of these inflammatory processes -cellular and molecular-, in different pathologies, as well as the inflammatory agents that trigger them. It includes direct connections with areas such as immunology, microbiology, endocrinology, infectious diseases and multisystemic diseases, among others.

Program 2 currently has 8 Consolidated Groups (CO1, CO2, CO3, CO13, CO16, CO17, CO25 and CO27), 10 Emerging Groups (EM1, EM11, EM16, EM20, EM21, EM24, EM27, EM4, EM5 and EM7) and 5 Associated Groups (IN11, IN12, IN26, IN35 and IN42).

The Oncohematology Program is aimed at developing research of excellence in relation to cancer, both clinical and translational, basic and public health, taking advantage of the potential synergy between the research groups that form it. To achieve this, collaboration mechanisms are established between the different agents related to research, especially those located directly in our environment, and collaboration is promoted for the implementation of new lines of biomedical research on cancer.

The transfer of cancer research results is one of the pillars promoted in this PROGRAM as an inseparable part of the knowledge management system, with the aim of achieving a greater positive impact on the HEALTH of the population. citizenship.

The Epidemiology and Public Health Program is made up of a multidisciplinary group, with high motivation, ambition and scientific projection; they have a high capacity for disseminating research due to their scientific production, based on the number of published articles (Q1 and Q2) and their cumulative impact factor, and also a high possibility of transferring research findings to healthcare practice , for its capacity for healthcare innovation.
