The lack of standardization of the Authors of the scientific Publications and of their work centers reduces the visibility of their production and authorship and that of the institution(s) to which they belong in the main bibliographic databases, causing losses in information retrieval, such as the impact of the Publications, measured through citations. As bibliometric reliability is reduced, therefore, the analysis of data for scientific policy and institutional strategy purposes, based on productivity, scientific-technological impact or ranking, among others, becomes more complex.

INiBICA's Management has prepared a document containing guidelines to promote the use of a unique signature by the Authors and the correct institutional affiliation, in order to ensure the best indexing in the databases and facilitate the monitoring of the Institute's scientific production.
