RESEARCH SUPPORT PLATFORMS AND SERVICES
The Central Units for Support of Biomedical and Health Sciences Research (UCAIB) consist of the set of shared services, infrastructure, and scientific equipment that belong to or are associated with some of the entities that make up INiBICA, operated by their own technical staff, which provide technical and methodological support and advice to the Institute’s research staff, as well as to users and external organizations upon request.
The primary objective of these services is to ensure the maintenance and proper operation of the various instrumental techniques and to facilitate access to them for researchers and companies by providing specialized advice on their use and capabilities.
Currently, most of the UCAIBs are located at the Research Unit of the Institute for the Study of the Brain and the Mind ( Hospital Universitario Puerta del Mar , UI-HUPM) and at the Central Services for Biomedical Research (SC-IBM), both located in the Andrés Segovia building on the University Campus at Cádiz. These centers have the technology, equipment, and expertise necessary to remain at the forefront of research.
