The Cádiz Institute for Biomedical Research and Innovation Cádiz INiBICA) is now an accredited institute, a milestone for biomedical research in the province and for the University of Cádiz. The UCA celebrates the official recognition granted to INiBICA as a Health Research Institute by the Carlos III Health Institute, an agency under the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities. This seal of excellence accredits the scientific quality, the soundness of its governance, and its direct impact on the health of society, and represents a strategic boost for all health research carried out in the province of Cádiz, where the UCA plays a key role.

In the words of the rector of the University of Cádiz, Casimiro Mantell, "the INiBICA accreditation is a historic milestone for the University of Cádiz for the entire province. It represents valuable recognition of the excellence and commitment of the researchers who make up the institute and opens a new era of greater scientific influence and transformative capacity. INiBICA is a benchmark in biomedical R&D&I managed by the Cádiz Biomedical Research Management Foundation, with the active participation of the University of Cádiz, the Regional Ministry of Universities, Research, and Innovation, the Andalusian Health Service, and the Regional Ministry of Health, Presidency, and Emergencies. The accreditation positions the institute within the select group of nationally recognized biomedical research centers, reinforcing the UCA as a driving force for biomedical knowledge in southern Europe.
