PUBLIC CALLS FOR PROPOSALS

The main public entities that fund biomedical research at the national level are the Carlos III Health Institute and the State Research Agency, which annually announce various types of grants.

The 2024–2027 State Plan for Scientific, Technical, and Innovation Research is the multi-year planning instrument designed to establish the objectives, priorities, and programming of the policies to be implemented by the General State Administration (AGE), and it establishes the following calls for proposals:

At the regional level, the main funding agencies are the Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs and the Regional Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation.

The Andalusia R&D&I Strategy (EIDIA), Horizon 2027, is the guiding document for public R&D&I policies in the region over the next six years, and serves as the instrument for planning, coordinating, promoting, and evaluating research policy in the region. Based on the EIDIA, the following calls for proposals are established:
