CO10: Molecular Immunology and Gene and Cell Immunotherapy

The group is dedicated to research in immunology, with a special emphasis on the development of chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) for cellular immunotherapy and the study of early signaling mechanisms and mechanisms involved in the induction of immune tolerance.

Lines of research
  • Line 1: Molecular mechanisms of immune tolerance induction. Genomic and proteomic analysis of the mechanisms responsible for basic immune tolerance and those responsible for the development of chronic infections.
  • Line 2: Gene and Cell Immunotherapy. Fundamentally based on the development of Chimeric Antigen Receptors (CAR), with applications in oncological and inflammatory diseases (cardiovascular, digestive, neurological, etc.) and in transplant organ rejection.
  • Línea 3: Nanomedicina. Desarrollo de contrastes basados en nanopartículas para la identificación especifica de moléculas in vivo, para aplicaciones en Diagnóstico por Imagen.
  • Line 4: Early intracellular signaling in T and B lymphocytes. Implications in immunological pathologies.
  • Line 5: Transmembrane adapter proteins and their role as regulators of activation in lymphocytes.
