During 2022, the Foundation for the Management of Biomedical Research in Cádiz INiBICA) signed two collaboration agreements with AbbVie Spain, S.L.U. with the aim of collaborating on the study carried out by healthcare professionals from the Hospital Pharmacy UGC at the University Hospital of Jerez de la Frontera the development and implementation of a pharmacist-assisted review program to improve the adequacy of treatment in polymedicated patients. Within the framework of both agreements, AbbVie Spain, S.L.U. made two financial contributions to the Foundation of €32,000 and €28,000.

The funds will contribute to developing the project, whose fundamental objective is to improve prescriptions for patients taking multiple medications by developing an application and software for managing information related to the treatments received, in order to focus time and effort on those patients who require better care. The impact of this action is notable in the pharmacy service and other medical services.

The INiBICA Foundation wishes to promote Projects and training Projects in accordance with its founding purpose. It therefore considers it appropriate and beneficial to seek collaboration in this regard from both public and private institutions and entities.
