CELL CULTURES
The Cell Culture Unit at INiBICA has biological safety cabinets, incubators, and the basic equipment needed to create, maintain, and preserve cultures. The room is divided into two areas to separate the collection of primary cultures (human or animal) from cultures with established cell lines.

- BH-EN-2004 biological safety cabinet (Faster).
- S2010 1.2 laminar flow cabinet (Holten).
- Galaxy 170 S CO2 incubator (New Brunswick).
- 2 Hera Cell 150 CO2 incubators (Thermo Science).
- 2 Refrigerated centrifuge, 5810R (EPPENDORF).
- 2 Liquid nitrogen containers.
- Freezers -80°C.
- Heraeus Lamin Air HB2448 laminar flow hoods.
- Forma Series II Water Jacket Thermo Incubator.
- GT100, GT38, TR21, and TR38 liquid nitrogen containers.
APPLICATIONS
The Cell and Tissue Culture Unit provides users with the necessary infrastructure for culturing animal and human cell lines and tissues.
SERVICES
- Determination of mycoplasma DNA in cell culture supernatants and biological fluids, according to the European Pharmacopoeia.
- Determination of endotoxins in cell cultures, media, and reagents, according to the European Pharmacopoeia.
