This course presents European and Spanish regulations of interest to research staff regarding the inclusion of sex/gender analysis in Projects (Horizon Europe, State Call, and JA Call), as well as the position of scientific publishers. In response to these regulations, the course describes the main gender biases in research, ways to overcome them, and how to include sex/gender analysis in each phase of research. The course ends with an assessment exercise that involves reviewing one's own project (or research already carried out). |
| Objectives |
Improve the skills of research staff in including sex/gender analysis in Projects and scientific articles that may result from such research. This will increase their quality and chances of success. Familiarize research staff with the introduction of sex-gender analysis in each phase of the research process, from choosing the problem to be investigated and selecting the sample, to analyzing the results and their subsequent publication or Patents registration. Highlight the main sexist biases inherent in conventional research and their effects on its quality. Review the relevance of introducing the gender dimension into various fields of research and provide specific examples of what gender analysis entails in each of them. |

At the request of the teaching staff and due to the resources available, capacity for this first edition will be limited to 20 places. In the first instance, and in order to ensure institutional equity, 10 places will be allocated to UCA INiBICA staff and 10 places to SAS INiBICA staff, in order of receipt, with a limit of one person per research group. If the capacity is not filled by the closing date, the remaining places will be allocated in order of registration, without taking into account the employer of the person who has registered their interest. |
