On this day, we would like to highlight the commitment of #INiBICA research staff to improving the health of cancer patients in the province of Cádiz #research and #innovation. We involve the population and organizations that support our daily work with their dedication and altruistic efforts in this process.

On January 27, Dr. José M. Baena from the Medical Oncology Service @hupmcadiz and Coordinator of the INiBICA Onco-Hematology Program organized a #clinical session to present the results of the study entitled "Effectiveness of Adjuvant Trastuzumab in HER2-Positive Breast Cancer: An Observational Study Over the Last 15 Years," led by Jaime Lluch Gómez (MIR in Medical Oncology). The presentation was attended by the Trebujena Cancer Association, the Bahía Women's Cancer Association, the Cadiz Breast Cancer Association, the Rota Cancer Association, and the Spanish Cancer Association.

At the end of the event, the Trebujena Cancer Association, whose mission is to help patients and their families and invest in research into this disease, presented the manager of the Cádiz Biomedical Foundation Cádiz INiBICA Cádiz with a donation from Juan Francisco, a young man with a strong social conscience. Juan Francisco, a native of #Trebujena, took the initiative at the age of just 10 to contribute to research into this disease. To do this, every year he collects discarded horseshoes, cleans them, paints them, decorates them, and adds a message of hope and enthusiasm, creating "lucky horseshoes," in his words. During Trebufestival, an increasingly popular festival held one weekend in April, Juan Francisco sells these horseshoes to raise funds to invest in cancer research, surpassing himself every year.

We are very proud to have young people like Juan Francisco in our province.
