The INPECA group focuses its work on clinical research applied to hospitalized and critically ill patients, with a special emphasis on optimizing therapeutic management and prognostic assessment.  Its areas of research include the study of the safety and efficacy of sedation and analgesia, the identification and validation of biomarkers to predict disease progression, and the incorporation of new technologies, such as ultrasound, to improve risk stratification in inflammatory processes. Currently, the group is composed of healthcare professionals from the Pediatrics Clinical Research Unit (UGC) at the Hospital de la Hospital Universitario Puerta del Mar.
