This research group, composed of faculty members from the University of Cádiz (UCA) and specialist physicians from the Clinical Management Units (UGC) of Hematology, Pathology, Nuclear Medicine, and Immunology, includes professionals from the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) affiliated with the Hospital Universitario Puerta del Mar, the University Hospital of Jerez de la Frontera , and the University Hospital of Puerto Real. The group focuses its research on the field of hematological pathology. In particular, this research group’s work is geared toward developing strategies for personalized precision medicine by studying clonal evolution and the role of the peritumoral microenvironment in the pathogenesis, treatment response, and clinical follow-up of hematological diseases. The group also aims to analyze and evaluate the impact on patients’ quality of life and their support network during the hematology care process. To this end, it comprises a multidisciplinary Team y team made up of professionals from various fields of expertise (biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, hematology, nuclear medicine, and bioinformatics). The group’s members have extensive experience in the application of genome sequencing technologies (NGS), artificial intelligence (AI), and computational pathology; in hematology care and healthcare management; and in the application and evaluation of responses to targeted therapies against molecular targets. Similarly, this research group works in coordination with the University of Cádiz and the Andalusian Health Service, in addition to collaborating with researchers from the University of Granada, the Virgen de las Nieves University Hospital, and Simón Bolívar University in Colombia.
