The UCA School of Medicine is currently hosting the annual “HEAT-Net (Harvard European Alumni Training Network)” meeting, which brings together Europe’s leading researchers and clinicians in the field of neurodegeneration—all of whom were trained in the prestigious laboratories of Harvard Medical School (HMS)—to discuss and analyze the latest advances in this field.
💬 Throughout the meeting, key topics will be discussed, including new targets in neurodegeneration—such as Alzheimer’s disease and neuroinflammation—as well as neurodegenerative diseases and the new therapies that have been introduced in recent years.
🎙️ Among the most prominent speakers are: Brian Bacskai, professor of neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard Medical School, and Professor Bradley Hyman, professor of neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard Medical School.
👩🔬 Also representing the UCA will be, among others, Professor Mónica García-Alloza, Director of INiBICA, professor in the Department of Physiology, and coordinator at Cádiz for the organization of this event, as well as Itziar Peñafie from INiBICA’s Department of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Internationalization, who is attending to support the organizing committee and foster relevant synergies for our institute.
