IN56: Severe Mental Disorder
The Severe Mental Disorder group focuses its research on improving care for people with severe mental disorders, particularly schizophrenia and substance use disorders. Its studies address shared decision-making in treatment, the assessment of functional capacity and social cognition, as well as clinical and ethical issues such as the use of physical restraints. In addition, the group analyzes patient satisfaction with and the appropriateness of pharmacological treatments, with the goal of optimizing the quality of care and mental health outcomes.
