RADIOACTIVE FACILITY
The SCIB from the University of Cádiz (SC-IBM UCA) have a radioactive facility intended for research, for which authorization was granted by the Ministry of Economy on January 20, 2003, and approved by the Nuclear Safety Council (CSN), which also inspects the facility.
The facility holds a license for the use of radioisotopes (IRA 1120), so the choice of which one to use depends on the specific line of research being pursued. In all cases, researchers must comply with the safety and radiation protection regulations currently in effect and work under the supervision of one or more facility supervisors who hold the appropriate license.
