🩻 The Rheumatology Department at the Hospital de la Ciudad de Hospital Universitario Puerta del Mar , is launching an educational project aimed at improving the early identification of patients at risk of developing psoriatic arthritis. This chronic inflammatory disease can cause joint damage, disability, and a significant impact on quality of life if it is not diagnosed and treated early.
🔬 The initiative aims to identify, at an early stage, those patients with psoriasis who are most likely to develop psoriatic arthritis, by evaluating genetic susceptibility factors and using high-resolution imaging techniques that can detect signs of inflammation before clinical symptoms appear.
👥 The project includes various training and continuing education activities for healthcare professionals, including clinical sessions, training in imaging techniques, and a review of early-diagnosis protocols, with the aim of improving the multidisciplinary approach to these patients and promoting early treatment strategies.
🤝 This initiative is supported by the pharmaceutical industry, which contributes to the development of educational activities and the promotion of initiatives aimed at improving knowledge and care for patients with inflammatory diseases.
