The " Team " for Research on Cardiovascular Regenerative Therapy and Applied Proteomics at the University of Cádiz (CTS-1076) is conducting RESEARCH on DIABETES AND ASSOCIATED VASCULAR COMPLICATIONS (diabetic retinopathy and/or peripheral artery disease). Project FIS-PI24/01161.
VOLUNTEERS are needed to participate in the study; they must have type 2 diabetes mellitus, with no known vascular complications or diabetic retinopathy.
Participation will consist of visiting the Hospital Universitario Puerta del Mar for one day, where blood samples will be drawn for analysis.
In rare cases, a minor complication may arise from the blood draw (such as the development of a localized bruise).
Your participation in the study will be invaluable in helping to improve our understanding of diabetes and its association with vascular complications, as well as to move toward better diagnosis and personalized treatment based on the patient’s characteristics.
