INiBICA

INiBICA, together with Zona Franca Cádiz , and other experts at IberoBio, is analyzing the opportunities and challenges of biotechnology and artificial intelligence

🌟 A few days ago, Julio Ríos, director of INiBICA, had the pleasure of appearing on Cadena SER’s “Hoy por hoy” program, alongside Fran González, the government’s special delegate for the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, and José Ramón Valverde, Head of Scientific Computing at the National Biotechnology Center and the CSIC, where they discussed the present and future of biomedicine and the application of AI in healthcare and research.

🗣️ During the broadcast, Ríos highlighted “how something very big is taking shape at Cádiz .” “It’s not just about code or data, but about the convergence of bioinformatics, biomedicine, and biotechnology, which come together to advance a profoundly human goal: improving people’s health.” He also emphasized that “knowledge transfer is the true engine of change. So are the challenges and the need for adequate regulation, however much it may weigh on us at times. Seeing institutions, startups, and research groups working together demonstrates that the biotech ecosystem in Southern Europe is more vibrant than ever.”

💙 Thank you to Cadena SER, Zona Franca at Cádiz , and the entire IberoBio consortium for creating this space and allowing us to continue advancing science through collaboration.
