In response to the callfor “EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR RESEARCH- Projects S ON SARS-COV-2 AND COVID-19 FROM THE ISCIII,” the INIBICA CO-10 Group,“Molecular Immunology and Genic and Cellular Immunotherapy,”has secured 100,000 euros to fund a research project titled“Nanosensor-Based Diagnosis and Rapid Identification in Solution of Disruptors of the Interaction Between the SARS-CoV-2 virus with its cellular receptor (NANOCOMPETE),” whose Principal Investigator (from the Immunology Department at the UCA), Mr. Francisco García Cózar , will focus on developing new innovative therapies. In collaboration with Mr. Daniel Ortega Ponce (who recently joined the Department of Condensed Matter Physics at the UCA), they will develop a new technique for rapid virological diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2.
