INiBICA

As part of the outreach activities organized to mark 💜 International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11 💜, our colleague María del Carmen González, a Biobank Technician, participated in a talk for 4th-year ESO students at the Instituto Profesor Antonio Muro (Puerto Real, Cádiz), bringing science, technology, and research into the classroom.

👩‍🏫 In addition, Meritxell Llorca from the “ CO9: ” Neuropsychopharmacology and Psychobiology group at INiBICA contributed to this celebration by giving two talks at IES Fernando Aguilar (Cádiz), reinforcing the commitment to science outreach and the promotion of a more inclusive science with equal opportunities.

🚀 These initiatives aim to spark curiosity, foster critical thinking, and highlight the key role that girls and young women play in the future of science and technology by providing relatable role models who inspire careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

💪👩‍🔬 Science needs diverse talent, curious minds, and role models who inspire.

Let's continue working toward a more equitable future in science.
