On June 11, the University of Cádiz (UCA) held the awards ceremony for the 17th annual atrÉBT! Awards at the School of Engineering (ESI) on the Puerto Real campus. This year’s awards recognized 12 initiatives that stood out for their innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, selected from among more than 70 ideas and 25 “ Projects ” (Startup Incubator) projects submitted by nearly 200 promoters linked to the university community and the province’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Dentro de la categoría de Ideas, el Premio IDEA – atrÉBT! SPIN OFF fue otorgado a la propuesta Move4Health promovida por David Jiménez Pavón del grupo CO8 MOVE-IT Empowering Health by Physical Activity, Exercise and Nutrition. Por otro lado, el proyecto CIRCUBIC promovido por el investigador Miguel Suffo Pino del grupo EM12 de Innovación médica en cirugía orteoarticular, recibió el premio atrÉBT! Mención Economía Azul patrocinado por la Fundación CEI-MAR por su impulso a la economía azul desde una perspectiva circular.
Finalmente, el premio Proyecto atrÉBT! se concedió a HealthSim4Less, propuesta centrada en el desarrollo de simuladores clínicos de bajo coste para la formación en salud. Varios de los promotores de este proyecto son investigadores del Instituto de Investigación e Innovación Biomédica de Cádiz, como son Olga Paloma Castro y José Manuel Romero Sánchez, ambos investigadores del EM14 Grupo de investigación en lenguajes, procesos y gestión de cuidados de salud, y Moisés Batista Ponce del grupo CO24 de Nanoteranóstica.
